Copying file names to excel or numbers

I would just like to be able to copy a list of file names from a folder into a Numbers or Excel document. My iMac is not working at the moment so can only use my iPad Pro.

importing to Pages importing a text file, possible? I created a work in progress text file IN PAGES on my downstairs Apple laptop and then copied it to a Flash Drive thinking I could transfer a copy from the Flash Drive into Pages using my upstairs IMAC and continue working on it. Didn't work. Pages wouldn't take a "drag and drop" Can I do this or am I just doing it wrong? I could just keep it on my desktop but thought if I could put it into the program I created it on that it would be easy to find and work on there.
