Is their a way of changing heir photos to jpg on the computer?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

Do you mean photos in the HEIC format? You can open them in the Preview.app, then use the command "File > Export" and set the format to JPEG with a high quality.

There's also a free app at the App Store, HEIC Converter, that converts the files to jpg by just dropping the files on the app.
