Some loops hitting the red before even being mixed?

Hi LPX community. Can anyone tell me why some loops in the logic library, when dragged and pasted onto a project are so high in volume output, hitting the red when the fader in the mixing board is very low? I am concerned it will cause major distortion or phasing issues in the final mix? New to this.

#1: You have pre-fader metering enabled. And I bet

#2: You have dialed up region gain. I can see this by the fat sausages in the region wave form. In a fresh project, they don't look so fat with the loops you mentioned.

Solution: Uncheck Pre-fader Metering, it's in main menu Mix / Pre-fader metering. And look at the region inspector box. There's a gain parameter. Reset it to 0.0000 dB and all will be OK.

This is straight from the library, no extra plug ins added?

It is driving me spare, no matter how far down I turn the volume faders, it hits the red.

It sounds great through my headphones, but when played back through my small

Yamaha Stage pass 600i PA speakers, it sounds muddy?

As they come with channel strip settings I have tried deleting the settings (plug ins?)

but to no avail?

I have decided for now to lay off the loops and just use my instruments and some Midi.

I still encounter some Midi Instruments hitting the red no matter how low the faders are?

Unsure of how to proceed?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

With the Mixer faders set at Unity gain Ion Drive averages -6db Nightfall is hotter at -3 DB, but you can set them at any level using the Mixer faders. In fact I can shut them off using the Mixer faders. These are Audio loops, if you drag them to an audio track there are no plugins.

Might want to post a screen shot of the main page and the main mixer.
