My Apple Watch is not pairing with my iPhone XS, the " connecting to your Apple Watch. This may take a moment." black screen has been there for hours. Help, please !

Try a forced reset and try again;

To force reset your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
