How can I move all my email from the Mail app to iCloud?

I'd like to free up space on my hard drive by moving all my email in Mail into iCloud. How can I do this?

Thank you. When you say I can forward mail to my iCloud address, do you mean I can forward each email individually to iCloud? Or can I set things up so messages that are addressed to my other account automatically get forwarded to iCloud? I can't figure out how to do that.

Thank you, but my question is the opposite of what's asked in the thread. I would like to move email FROM Mail INTO iCloud.

If the account you are using/seeing in the Mail app is your iCloud account, it's content is already "in" iCloud. There is nowhere to "move" it to.

iCloud only stores/supports it's own mail. It does not have the ability to sync other IMAP based mail accounts like Gmail etc.

You can forward mail to your iCloud address.

If you have been using the "On My Mac" section of the mail app, that mail can't be stored in iCloud either.
