My iPad mini 4 won’t download Music from my iMac. Do I have to use AppleMusic?
I am trying to move songs from my Music app of my iMac to my iPad mini 4. IMac is on Catalina. Do I to pay to do this?

You do not have to subscribe to Apple Music in order to synchronize music between Macintosh and iPad. Please refer to the following Apple Support document.
