Autocorrecting in French

When I type in any app on my iPhone XS, with iOS 13.2, it auto-corrects to French (similar words between English & French end up as French words with accents). I DO NOT have French as a keyboard in my Settings, and there is no globe on the keyboards bc I only use English and Emoijis. Why is this happening & how can i fix? Thanks.

Do you perhaps have French on your list of active Dictionaries?

I deactivated the French dictionaries, but my apps are STILL auto-correcting to French when I type. All software is up to date. What else could be the problem?

Yes! Thank you. I deactivated that dictionary.
