Increase font size in MAIL display
Reading the display of incoming mail is hard on my eyes because the font is too small. How can I improve the readability by increasing font size/decreasing number of lines on display?

Sorry. I now see where, "QuickTimeKirk" came from. Anyway, nothing seems to work, I've since posted the question on line and most of the answers are the same as yours. Unfortunately, that doesn't work, at least not on my computer now. Whether I select size 8 or size 288, nothing on the screen changes. I even tried highlighting the entire screen and then using "your" method, but that didn't work, either.
Now I'm trying to remember when and where I do change the size of the fonts, because that's something I frequently do.
Oh, yeah, I frequently use format>show fonts>size, but I think that's usually with something I have typed. Also, there are, of course, a number of ways to increase something on the screen but none of them that I can think of apply to the problem at hand..
"Message list font" only works if Mail is in Classic view.
I think I may now see the problem/solution; it's that part of the "fonts & colors" box that is now inactive/grayed out. I think I have to find a way to turn on, "Message list font."
Hold down the command key at tap the + key to increase and the - to decrease.
Read QuickTimeKirk.
If you want to change more:
Mail->Preferences->Fonts&Colors.....
That didn't have any effect.
"Read QuickTimeKirk."
What? I don't understand. Is that a joke?
No joke, I ???
Do it with Mail->Preferences->Fonts&Colors.....
as I said.
Shutdown all apps.
Restart the mac.
Then try again with the menu I posted. Perhaps it helps.
That was the problem/solution. Now I remember changing from the "classic" mode long ago.. Now I have to figure out what style/configuration is best for me. There are many considerations.
Thanks, I'll give you the credit, even though I found the answer by myself. You beat me by two-minutes, but I didn't see your response until now.
You're welcome.
"Long ago" when I had better eyes.
