iPhone screen went black and it won't turn on
Hello everyone. My iPhone 8 screen went black and I am not to sure what the problem is. I tried charging and restarting but those things didn't seem to work.

It could be a screen failure, but we can't diagnose those issues remotely, sorry.
If you already tried a restart or forced restart of your unit to no avail, have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options:
