Can

Cannot restore my iphone using itunes. It always go beyond the 15 minute cutoff time. I need to restore the phone because i forgot its passcode. I am using itunes with my macbook air. Please assist.

Are you putting it in recovery mode? If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

There is no time limit unless it is giving you a warning. Is your iTunes up to date?

Yes. I am putting it in recovery mode. It is stated in the procedure that the restore iphone step will stopped at 15 mins. That's my problem. I have done it 6x already, and it still requires more than 15 minutes to complete.
