Find my lost iPhone

I received a notification that my lost iPhone was reactivated. I have the address from the email. However when I logged into find my iPhone and it’s not showing up

Did you log into Find My iPhone from the email? If you did, it more than likely was a phishing attempt and when you logged in, you provided the thief with your Apple ID and password to remove the device from iCloud. Did you see it at all in Find My iPhone, maybe saying it was offline, or something else?
