Why can't I see my iCloud files on my new MacBook?

I just got this new MacBook Pro and for some reason I can't see my files on my iCloud Drive, even after I selected to see Desktop and Document folders in Settings.

MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.14

Thank you so much for the links! I actually tried all those steps but I still wasn't able to fix it.

However, I tried logging out and then logging in again and that solved the issue.

Thanks again!

Once you sign out and again sign in with same Apple ID password ( in case if you had set iCloud Keychain , generally users always configure , the iCloud Keychain verification code is required ) , the files will start again syncing from the iCloud server and also the other data saved in iCloud server , high network speed is essential but this not a permanent solution ( only a trick ) as every Mac user never sign out and again sign in routine work .

Any ways , you fixed it .
