Question

Can't install the Videos app on my iPad Mini 4

When I try to download the Apple Videos app to my iPad Mini 4 from the Apple App store, I see a message saying:

This app requires specific features not available on this device.

What specific features are being referred to? I don't understand why a video playing app can't be installed on this device as it's perfectly capable of playing videos in browsers and in other ways. What's going on?

And if I can't install the Videos app, what is the recommended way to play videos (MPEG4 files) that I download to the iPad?

Here's more information about the TV App: Watch movies, TV shows, and live content in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

Tap Library on the bottom row of the TV app for your content

I do have the TV app on my iPad. I downloaded an MPEG4 video from my Dropbox account. Where did it go? I can't see it in Files. Should I be able to play it in the TV app, and if so how?

I can also save my downloaded video to my camera roll and watch from the Photos app. That's a very simple solution that doesn't require the Videos or TV app. Sorry to have bothered you all. Thanks for your help.
